Bioarchitecture and sustainable design. The Samsung Young Design Award, a competition designed by Samsung Electronics in Italy in collaboration with ADI (Associazione Design Industriale), is now in its fourth edition.
The competition has become an important showcase for designers and architects in search of a launching pad for their carriers in sustainability, also thanks to the support of important names, including the City of Milan and the Triennale of Milan.
This year’s theme is: “Make sustainability fun with digital products.”
Participants will therefore need to design sustainable digital devices for the improvement of everyday activities, to encourage sustainable, high-efficiency lifestyles.
If you are a student wishing to enter, you can register by visiting and project submissions will be accepted until June. The second phase of the competition will begin on July 5 with the publication of the list of 10 finalists, who will then have until the end of September to improve or perfect their projects according to the jury’s suggestions.
Three prizes will be awarded:
- the Gold Award: 5,000 euros
- the Silver Award: 3,000 euros
- the Bronze Award: 2,000 euros
Moreover, the project that distinguishes itself for completeness and innovation will be able to claim the 15,000-euro Grand Jury Award.
